Ed started his highly successful family-owned seed business in 1977. The company, still ran by family members, sells quality seeds specially selected for our short seasons and cool climates. The Puyallup headquarters is also home to Ed Hume’s Educational Gar-den, designed by Ed and his staff. The beau-tiful creation is comprised of 14 specialty gardens. See the Herb Garden, Heather Gar-den, Fragrance Garden, and the Tunnel Gar-den covered with flowering vines. Among the gardens most loved gardens, the Humming-bird/Butterfly Garden; Crazy Garden; Carniv-orous Plant Garden (keep your hands in your pockets); and the Puzzle Garden, packed with fun riddles created with plants and props. Following the tour, continue to Wind-mill Gardens. With 5 acres of greenhouses and display gardens and The Village with a lovely Tea Shoppe and charming Bistro for lunch on your own.
