Experience over 80 years of tradition in this small Dutch community! Preparation for the festival takes months—did you know that their sauerkraut alone ferments for six weeks in fifty-gallon buckets? Nearly all the food is local and handmade. Sausage is ground and smoked on the parish grounds using a family recipe passed down through generations. During your visit, enjoy a Quilt Raffle, Fancy Work, Plant Booth, Beer Garden, Craft Bazaar, Bingo, Bake Sale, Potholder Game, and a Country Store. On the way home, we’ll stop to purchase fresh Oregon hazelnuts directly from the farmer—at a fraction of store prices!
