Your skyward adventure begins as you travel over Highway 410 in vibrant fall, up and over 5,430’ Chinook Pass to the fertile valley of Naches to the east. Along the way, enjoy spectacular views of Mount Rainier, dense forests, towering peaks, rocky ridges, river canyons, and a riverside lunch on your own at Whistlin' Jack Lodge. Check into your room before this evening’s Balloon Glow. In the morning, grab some coffee as we depart early for the morning mass ascension of balloons. After a hosted breakfast, attend the Harvest Festival and watch chalk artists in action. Continue to Goldendale for a tour of the Presby Mansion, dinner at the Dirty Cowgirl BBQ, and an overnight stay. This evening, there will be an optional visit to the newly renovated Goldendale Observatory for an evening of stargazing. It is a half moon, so we might even get to view the Milky Way! In the morning, continue to the Columbia River to explore Maryhill Museum’s unique art collection, with everything from Rodin sculptures to the dress of a Romanian queen. Finish the day at the Maryhill Winery with spectacular views of the Columbia River while enjoying a hosted lunch.
